Intro

A true legend of British Stage and Television, Biggins was born in Oldham, Lancashire.

He grew up in Salisbury where he attended St Probus School.

He first appeared on our television screens in the mid seventies and starred in a number of high profile and successful sitcoms (Lukewarm, Porridge, Whatever happened to the likely lads, Some mothers do ‘ave ‘em) . He also co-hosted ‘Surprise Surprise’ with the late Cilla Black on ITV and was honoured by Michael Aspel in an episode of ‘This is Your Life’.

Biggins became ‘King Of The Jungle’ by winning the 2007 series of ‘I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here’ and also appeared in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.

He worked in a number of movies (The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat) to name but a few.

Biggins is also known for his well publicised love for Panto. He has appeared in many productions up and down the country.
